SEC HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Museum Sponsorship

Gifts and grants from individuals and institutions are welcome to help build the virtual museum and archive, and may be designated as sponsor of the accession of specific material. Sponsorships may be made in memory or in honor of an individual(s). Please contact the Executive Director for further information.

The following guidelines will be used with all designated gifts:

  • The SEC Historical Society is solely responsible for the authority and objectivity of the content of the museum collection.
  • Donors may recommend material for accession in the collection, including subjects for oral histories interviews, and participants in programs. The Executive Director, in consultation with the Museum Committee, has the final determination on selection of all material added.
  • The Society may work with academics and other professionals in the building of the museum. The selection and work of academics and professionals will be the responsibility of the Society, and will be independent of any donor.

Current Sponsorship Opportunities

Oral Histories Interview of Donor Choice $10,000 per interview

Help expand Oral Histories by sponsoring an interview with an individual you deem significant. You may select anyone with experience and/or knowledge of financial regulation or the industry, who has not already conducted an interview for the museum, and who is willing to participate. The museum will conduct the interview at the individual's preferred site, date and time, and permanently preserve the interview in audio/mp3 and transcript formats in Oral Histories. Sponsors will receive:

  • Special recognition in the Annual Report and in Thanks to Donors.
  • Permanent recognition with the oral histories interview.
